Face on both bookends are an ivory celluloid, very detailed Remnates of original paint in some areas Both pirates are on what I believe are heavy marble bases, the size and shape of treasure chests. The only damage is one pirate is missing the stock of his gun and one is loose on the base, there is access to the connector on the bottom.
