US Zone - Germany Antique Hummel Kids Under Umbrella Rainy Day Figurine - You are looking at a wedding gift I got in 1967.  It was an antique then and my great aunt told me it was valued at $600.  Speed forward 40 years.  There is one small chip that does not detract or barely even show on a point on the umbrella.  It is the point of the umbrella to the right in the photo of the little boy's face.  After examining this chip with a magnifying glass, it does not look like a chip at all, it may be a manufacturing error?  It looks like it was painted OVER the chip and even glazed OVER the chip.  I don't know, not an expert.  Hummels were made starting in 1935.  This Hummel was made between 1945 - 1948, as it is marked 'US Zone' and there was no US zone until after WWII. It is about 6-3/4 inches tall x 4-3/8 inch wide by 3-1/2" deep and weighs 13 ounces. This is a very popular, classic Hummel figurine, very old and desireable.  You will never find an older one here on Ebay.  This is the only one I have ever had!  Bid now!
