I had a specialist from one of the best auction houses in the country look at it, and he said this was original part of a bigger set-a clock with 2 candle holders. Because the candle holder has letters as markings B and H proves the period it was made. There was a pair of similar candle holders with the same Gothic faces sold in 1999 for 4700$. Because this one is a single it’s value is lower but not less than 1500$. Condition is perfect, hardly to believe how it survived so well all those years. It measures: 7” tall. I start it with no reserve, hoping that it will be appreciated well and not because I underestimate it. But I keep the right to end the auction earlier, due to lack of interest.
