Description
Wood fired wheel thrown stoneware (ceramic) manipulated, torn and altered plate with the addition of chunks of clay and a helmar slip applied to the surface prior to its being wood fired.  Made by Peter Voulkos at the Penryn Workshop, Penryn, Ca. and fired there in Rodney Mott's anagama, 1999.  Piece is acquired directly from the artist in 1999.  18 (h) X 18 (w) x 6 (d).  Inscribed directly in the clay "VOULKOS 99 AUB" on the back.
