I think it was made in Spain. Each bookend has a solid alloy metal casting knight with a hand made sword. A chrism velvet apron and soft metal mesh armor under the waist. The wood is antique finish pine and all the corners have beautiful metal trimmings. The bookends’ back and bottom have velvet to protect the furniture and books. Each bookend weighs closed to 3 pounds. The heavy bookend will not move by the books. Their condition are excellent except with a very few rusty spots on metal corner trims. They can’t be easily polished off. No other flaws noted. They are very clean and this from a non-smoke family. Very beautiful bookends to your bookshelves I guarantee you will love it. Place a Bid!
